Moisturizing Organic Lip Balm

Making your own lip balm at home is easy, fun, and rewarding.

Not to mention, the ingredients are so good for you. No more petroleum, waxes, hard to pronounce ingredients, and fake flavors and fragrances.

Try this minty fresh organic moisturizing lip balm for very soft and kissable lips all the time!

These are so cute and easy to make as gifts too.

We also sell these lip balms in our shop if you can't make these at home.

The Recipe

Yield: 10 standard sized plastic lip balm tubes or 5 large 1/2ounce brown tubes

Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

2 tablespoons organic beeswax

2 tablespoons organic coconut oil

2 tablespoons organic shea butter

20 drops peppermint essential oil

Instructions

  1. Melt the beeswax, and then add the coconut oil and shea butter until completely melted.

  2. Add the peppermint essential oil and gently stir.

  3. Carefully pour into lip balm tubes. My stainless steel pot has a lip around the edge so the lip balm pours in very cleanly. You can use a turkey baster too.

  4. Let cool. The mixture may shrink as it cools and you may want to add more lip balm to the top, but you do not have to. Enjoy!
